Think Fathers
Tuesday Mar 31, 2009
Think Fathers is a new goverment campaign in the U.K. to encourage public, health and family services to be more ‘dad-friendly’ and inclusive of fathers.
Announced in November 2009 by Children's Minister Beverly Hughes, Think Fathers is delivered by the U.K.'s Department for Children, Schools and Families and a number of partners, including the Fatherhood Institute, Britain's think tank on fatherhood issues.
The campaign is designed to encourage change leading to more father-inclusive practice in family services, more father-friendly employment practices such as flexible hours and paternity leave, and more generally, to spark a public debate through the media about the importance of fathers’ positive involvement in their children’s lives.
